Kobi Hunter Watt- Born on March 17, 2013, in Somerset, Kobi Watt is a talented and determined young equestrian who operates from his grandparents' farm, Moorhen Farm, alongside his mother, Bobbie-Jo Watt. Kobi's passion for riding began at a young age—he was on a pony as soon as he could sit up. He began his journey with pony club before setting his sights on competitive showjumping. His talent was quickly recognized by owners and producers, leading to opportunities to ride for them from an early age. Kobi's skills were so apparent that by the time he was just four years old, he made his debut at the prestigious Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) on the lead rein. When COVID-19 hit, Kobi shifted focus to show jumping, where he formed an incredible partnership with his “unicorn,” Top Gun. This horse would become the foundation of Kobi’s growing reputation, earning him further rides and attracting new owners. Today, Kobi has firmly established himself as one of the top 128cm jockeys in the UK. In 2024, his achievements soared with multiple major accomplishments, including qualifying for HOYS on two ponies, an England Team call-up, and ultimately securing a Gold medal. He also qualified for the Royal London and finished an impressive 2nd place in the final. 2025 kicked off with a thrilling win in the Royal International Horse Show (RIHS) qualifier aboard his trusty partner, Hillgarth Baileys Cream. Shortly after, he earned another qualification for a new ride with new owners. Kobi's natural talent, unwavering determination, and strong, capable riding skills make him a rising star in the equestrian world.
